Philosophy

Ramona's Way identifies as a woman-centered domestic violence and substance abuse program. We strongly believe in empowering women to make their own life decisions and determine the path of their treatment and recovery.

  1. We believe that women can self-assess the problem areas in their lives.
  2. We are committed to sharing information about addiction and domestic violence with women so that they may make knowledgeable decisions concerning the services they receive.
  3. We believe that women are survivors, not victims who are codependent. We understand that women make decisions, which will keep their children and themselves, safe.
  4. We believe women must be offered individualized plans to assist them in creating options to escape the violence in their lives.

Program Goals and Objectives

  1. To increase awareness and understanding of the interrelationship of domestic violence and chemical dependency.
  2. To decrease feelings of isolation in chemically dependent battered women.
  3. To increase safety for women and their children in chemically and physically abusive situations.
